Sectionalism is loyalty to ones' region or part of the country instead the entire country as a whole. Between the north and the south, they were both completely different from one another and did not agree. They both contributed to sectionalism based on their society. The North did not agree to slave labor, although the in South they used many slaves to help on farms or plantations.
